The Truth Is…
To us, the existence of a single contradiction in a supposedly inerrant, infallible document, no matter how slight, is evidence that the document (IE Bible) is false and every statement in it may be false.
Contradictions are a very serious matter in a book alleged to be written and directed, by an omniscient God and/or the Holy Spirit. If God and his sidekick, the Holy Spirit were truly omniscient, they could not possibly have supervised and directed a document that is riddled with error (contradictions are a form of error); yet the Bible is full of them.
Steve Wells, the author of “The Skeptics Annotated Bible” has created a list of contradictions, organized by topic. While there are many such lists (see below), this one is the clearest and easiest to read. Click HERE to access the list. Of course Christians will not access the list of contradictions because it is too painful to actually see how really wrong the bible is about so much.
Another very good presentation, presented in an interactive graph format is here at VizBib.
Go there right now! There is no point reading anything below.
Numerous authors have compiled lists of the bibles contradictions (see below) It is not our purpose here to enumerate all the contradictions. Rather, we will provide our favorite and the point you to those others who have itemized all the contradictions.
Our Favorite Contradiction
Exodus 20:13 Thou Shalt Not Kill
the sixth commandment, presented to Moses by God for the Children of Israel.
Now having said that, here is Mose’s command to his officers who had spared the women and children of the Midianites:
Numbers 31:17 -18
Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
Now how about that for a contradiction? The same guy who issues the sixth commandment, then issues the order to violate it. KILL every male child, kill all the non virgin women, and rape all the virgin children.
But that’s just one of many. To see some of the others check out these lists compiled by others.

420 Contradictions by Donald Morgan (these are well presented; contradictions are very obvious)
1551 Condradictions book by book, by David Wells.
Impossible Numbers of the Armies of the Children of Isreal by Willian Sierichs, Jr.
Errors Ranked by Significance to the Jesus Story.
The Secular Web (dissects and analyzes eight glaring discrepancies)
I briefly read through the 420 contradictions by Donald Morgan and I’m astounded at the misintepretations that were being presented, and how most of it, if not all had been taken completely out of context.
This is one example used from Donald list,
Genesis 1:26-27 Man and woman were created at the same time.
Genesis 2:7, 21-22 Man was created first, woman sometime later.
Genesis 1:26-27 states as follows:
26 Then God said,“ Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
These verses are telling us that God created man and women in His image, it is not saying that He made them at the same time like Donald Morgan is suggesting in his so called “contradictions” found within the Bible.
If you read any book, and you take bits and pieces out of it you can easily interpret it to contradict itself by misinterpretation.
Ok Mary, how’s about you read something other than the bible and become aware of the rather overwhelming historical inaccuracies and illogical occurrences. The link above will provide you with some of the more precise and notable. Oh and for the record one of the most revealing information regarding JC was that he traveled east to India during what is referred to as the lost years. And while there he no doubt encountered yogis, spiritual leaders of the region. It is well known and documented prior to both JC’s lost years and before his birth that yogis consistently told their followers that “No one comes to the father but through me”…. Sound familiar.
My point is it is you who needs to expand your reading, your knowledge and thought process relative to examining religious text and it’s accuracy or relevance. The notion that a single religion can claim that their god is the one true god, or their religious text is his word is beyond arrogant. Particularly given the 13 religious figures that predate JC and have strikingly similar characteristics and of course the similarities between the life of JC and the egyptian god Horus.
One final thing, it is all too obvious that someone who personally attacks the individual as opposed to what they say or argue does so because of a keen awareness of the weakness of their own position or assertions.
Who made this website? How old are you?
If you so adamantly desire to prove the Bible or any book nonsense, wouldn’t it be good to read it?!
You haven’t even taken the time to accurate disprove any of this. That’s just plain lazy and a bold faced lie.
If you stayed awake, you could read the entire bible in about 36 hours. If literate. And if you have a sharp memory/ comprehension. You are trying to sell a product. Gotta know it, no? You’re ripe for reaping. Lol
And my dog’s thoughts are not my thoughts. And my wife’s thoughts are not my friend’s thoughts. WOW
Of course people think different having different brains, its a matter of holiness and that God works different than man. Out of context, that verse could seem confusing.
Being God, his ways are higher than our ways.
I’ve just finished writing a book, “The Contradiction of God : Why Everything You Thought You Knew About God is Wrong” , that may be of some interest to you. It is an examination of the the well-known words of God through the prophet Isaiah, “My thoughts are not your thoughts”.
Instead of defining His thoughts as what they “are”, like the rest of us do, apparently God finds it more illuminating to simply define them as what they “are not”. And what are His thoughts “not”? Astonishingly, Isaiah declares in no uncertain terms, that they are simply “not your thoughts”. And not by just a little, here and there, now and again, but apparently, “My thoughts are not your thoughts”, every time and everywhere, without exception, by an immeasurable difference, “as high as the heavens are above the earth” according to His very own unimpeachable Self-Expert testimony. And that utterly contradictory thought, if you really think about it, simply changes every other thought about His thoughts.
In fact, if that is not your ground-zero starting point, you are guaranteed, without exception, to wind up precisely as far from His thoughts “as the heavens are above the earth”.
At least, that’s the way God tells it. You, of course, may disagree. Apparently, most people do.

Love in Christ,
Supreme TruthSayer: “Huh!” Is a common response to a low IQ individual when he is befuddle. (Maybe I shouldn’t have used such an archaic term!-I am referring to the term befuddle) Any way, another expressive interjections is “UGH”, “DUH” or the Homer version: D’OH and the best one that I like the most is “HM” because it makes you sound intellectual and that you are in a deeper state of thought even though you don’t have a clue. Or if you are really smart you tell them you don’t have a clue of what he is talking about and then you blame him for not been able to express himself correctly. But this one usually requires more energy (from the brain-that is) to implement. Hey, maybe you could read Danny Clark Cliff’s notes. Hee-hee
I am going to give you a conundrum: It doesn’t surprise me that the Bible is full of errors but the Scriptures are still the word of The Creator.
Now you can say “Huh” again or maybe take my advice and use instead “HM”.
By the way I had a great laugh by your understanding of the word “Eloahim”. Sorry, going archaic on you again “Elohim”. Add your own expressive interjection here [ ]!

P.S. I told you I love profiling (I mean the real thing-not the show stuff you see in TV); didn’t I? Fair warning is fair warning.
Believers will probably argue that the Ten Commandments were meant only for gods chosen, to regulate how they were to interact with one another. through your own admission, god was speaking to the jews only.
