Jesus Contradicts Himself

More proof that the bible is so wrong about so much, it doesn’t deserve serious consideration.
Jesus apparently can’t keep his words straight.

“If I testify on my own behalf, my
testimony is valid
(John 8:14)

“If I testify about myself, my
testimony is not valid.
(John 5:31)

The world cannot hate you, but it
hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.

(John 7:7)

If you belonged to the world, it would love
you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the
world. That is why the world hates you. (John 15:19)

Love one another. As I have loved you,
so you must love one another. (John 13:34)

My command is this: Love each other as I
have loved you.
(John 15:12)

“If anyone comes to me and does not
hate
his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes,
even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26)

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your
heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)

Think not that I am come to send peace on
earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34)

I have come to bring fire on the earth, (Luke
12:49)

Honour thy father and [thy] mother:
(Matthew 19:19)

For I am come to set a man at variance
against his father, and the daughter against her mother (Matthew 10:35)

“Don’t you see that nothing that enters
a man from the outside can make him ‘unclean’? For it doesn’t go into his heart but into
his stomach, and then out of his body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods
“clean.”)
Mark 7:18

Not that which goeth
into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of
the mouth, this defileth a man. (Matthew 15:11)

And the pig, though it has a split hoof
completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.  You must not eat their meat or touch their
carcasses; they are unclean for you. (Leviticus 11:7-8)

Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is]
raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. (Proverbs 20:1)

These twelve Jesus sent out with the
following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the
Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.
 (Matthew 10:5)

“I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

(Matthew 15:24)

I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is
preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of
her.” (Matthew 26:13)

Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations
(Matthew 28:19

“Do not go among the Gentiles or
enter any town of the Samaritans.
Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.
 (Matthew 10:5)

Then cometh he to a city of Samaria,
which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that
Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw
water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (John 4:5-7)

Think not that I am come to send peace on
earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
(Matthew 10:34)

He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it,
and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. (Luke
22:36)

But I tell you that anyone who is angry with
his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother,
Raca, is answerable to the
Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

(Matthew 5:22)

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take
the sword shall perish with the sword.
(Matthew 26:52)

…”for all who draw the sword will
die by the sword. (KJV)

You blind fools! Which is greater: the
gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? (Matthew 23:17)

Ye fools and blind: for whether is
greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
(Matthew 23:19, KJV)

Honour thy father and [thy] mother:
(Matthew 19:19)

Jesus saith unto
her, Woman, what have I to do with
thee?
mine
hour is not yet come. (John 2:4)

And he took a child, and set him in the midst
of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, Whosoever shall
receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: (Mark
9:36-37)

And I will kill her children with death;
and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of
you according to your works. (Revelations 2:23)

But I tell you: Love your enemies and
pray for those who persecute you, (Matthew 5:44)

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
(Luke 6:27)

But those mine enemies, which would
not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay [them] before me. (Luke 19:27)

But those enemies of mine who did not want me
to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.” (NIV)

That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have
I lost none
. (John 18:9)

While I was with them in the world, I kept
them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none
of them is lost,
but the son of
perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. (John 17:12)

But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.
(Matthew 10:33)

But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. (Luke
12:9)

“I tell you the truth,” Jesus
answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice you yourself
will disown me three times.” (Mark
14:30)

Immediately a rooster crowed. Then Peter
remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” And he went
outside and wept bitterly. (Matthew 26:75)

The Son of man goeth
as it is written of him: but woe unto that
man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for
that man if he had not been born.
(Matthew 26:24)

* If Judas betrayed Jesus, then he cannot sit on the throne!

That ye may eat and drink at my table in my
kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Luke 22:3)

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto
you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes
of Israel. (Matthew 19:28)

In the same way, let your light shine before
men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

TAKE CARE not to do your good deeds publicly
or before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward reserved for
and awaiting you] with and from your Father Who is in heaven. (Matthew 6:1, Amplified
Bible)

This is how it will be at the end of the age.
The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the
fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

(Matthew 13:49)

Whether of them twain did the will of [his]
father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them,
Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of
God before you
. (Matthew 21:31)

Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs
is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3)

Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for
righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew
5:10)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide
is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

(Matthew 7:13-14)

Everyone will be salted with fire. (Mark
9:49)

I tell you the truth: Among those born of
women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least
in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. (Matthew 11:11)

Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there
hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in
the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. (KJV)

I indeed baptize you with water unto
repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he
shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire: (Matthew 3:11, KJV)

“I baptize you with water for
repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not
fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. (NIV)

But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not
recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man
is going to suffer at their hands.” (Matthew 17:12)

* Jesus said John the Baptist is Elijah.

They asked him, “Then who are you? Are
you Elijah?” He said, “I am
not.”
“Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.” (John 1:21)

* Yet John denies being Elijah!

He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for
a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
(Matthew 12:39)

“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and
rightly so, for that is what I am. (John 13:13)

He sighed deeply and said, “Why does
this generation ask for a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth,
no sign will be given to it.”
(Mark 8:12)

“I do not accept praise from men,
(John 5:41)

They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.’
” (Matthew 15:9, Mark 7:7)

No man taketh it from me, but I lay it
down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This
commandment have I received of my Father. (John 10:18)

* Jesus claims having the power to raise himself

The God of our fathers raised up Jesus,
whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. (Acts 5:30)

* It was God who raised Jesus, he didn’t have the power to raise himself

  1. Umm, There are many things here you are misunderstanding, such as the dual meanings of peace, fire, hatred, love, kill, the greeks had a few different and more specific words for these, in english we have one, but with many different definitions. This explains many of your differences.
