The Truth Is..
A contradiction contains two opposing perspectives about a “fact”. Since they are opposite, at least one of them has to be false. Contradictions are to be expected in books written by mere mortals. The Bible was inspired by God; hence there should be no contradictions. The existence of contradictions in the Bible are evidence that there are false statements are in the Bible. If God can’t get facts straight what reason do we have to believe that there aren’t other “facts” in the Bible that are also false?
The most important contradiction in the Bible, theologically speaking, is over whether or not Jesus is God. Jesus proclaims himself God in 18 verses of the Bible and yet in 12 verses he says he is not God. See “Is Jesus God” for a list of the conflicting verses.
The worst is when Moses delivers the commandment “Thou shalt not kill” and then procedes to order
Here is a representative list of contradictions. Many are rather inconsequential except that they demonstrate that the Bible contains false statements.

The above list only scratches the surface. To see more contradictions, see Bible Inconsistencies – Bible Contradictions by Donald Morgan
Everything you said here is not proof that the Bible is contradictory, it is proof that the way we understand it is in error. The Bible is not describing physical events that occured long ago but is describing the oppisition between our hearts and our heads but it does so intirely in figurative language. This is why the Bible warns of hidden things to be revealed. and to be careful what we think we are hearing, with what measure we use it will be measured to us again. The two measures are our fear generating intellectual reasoning (Satan) and our love detecting hearts (Jesus the Christ). In our initial nature we like the convenience of surface or historical interpretations which allow us to save our lives in this world, i.e. worship the image of the beast (money) and also save it in the world to come. That is why we haven’t discovered this before now. When we change from our initial nature, the “earthly” preaching of John (base level conviction of conscience to the heavenly preaching of the Christ (increased conviction of conscience) we are driven to admit within ourselves our adherence to contradictory historical interpretations for their convenience to our initial nature. The Bible is ,in our initial understanding contradictory on purpose and by design so that when our nature changes we discover a completely different understanding by which we know that the source could not be human intellect for if human intellect hid the things that are hidden in the Bible, then how could these people also know that others who were as smart or even smarter would not come along and discover it long before now. How could I, who am a high school drop out see things that 2,000 years of scrutiny by P.H.D.s, wise men and scholars did not see despite many spending their entire lives seeking it. For more understanding see “The Third Measure of Meal” by frank jakum
