The Bible is Wrong About Jesus’ Time of Ministry

Egregious nonredeemable multiple version of truth in the Bible.

According to John’s Gospel, Jesus attended at least three annual Feasts of Passover through the course of His ministry: one in John 2:13, another in 6:4, and then the Passover of His crucifixion in 11:55–57. Just based on that information, Jesus’ ministry lasted 2 years, at the very least.

The Synoptic Gospels imply a ministry of only one year. Everything in those accounts fits nicely into one year. There is no indication that Jesus made multiple trips to Jerusalem in Mark, Matthew, or Luke.John records three Passovers which would be two years (Passover-1 then a year later Passover-2 then the final Passover a year later). Assigning specific dates to the particular Passovers is pure guesswork.

Summary:

Synoptic Gospels: 1 year
John: At least two years.

The Point:

The Bible can’t even tell us how long Jesus ministered. That is a fact that should be consistent throughout the Bible as edited by the Holy Spirit.

Worse:

Where was Jesus from the time of his fabricated birth until he first appears in Mark?
Why wasn’t Jesus performing miracles long before his 30th birthday? Why do we only learn of Jesus Christ when he is 30?
