Our Mission

It is the mission of The Church of Truth™

  • To free people of all faiths from the tyranny of their religion
  • To stamp out the ignorance that leads to the tyranny of religion.
  • To reveal universal truths supported by irrefutable evidence.
  • To free people from the articles of “faith” that prevent them from seeing the truth.
  • To teach people that Mark Twain was right:

“In religion and politics people’s beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from “authorities” who have not themselves examined the questions at issue but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass farthing.”
From his Autobiography published in 2010, exactly 100 years after his death.

Living in the midst of a people who see the Bible as above reproach and then mistreat others based on its prejudices, the mission takes on a new urgency.

Why Are We Doing This?

We know that we can’t change the minds of those who will not think or reason about religion. Our target audience is those who are “searching”, those who are undecided.

Perhaps the truth can keep people from…

  • Abandoning critical thinking, being ignorant about scientific facts
    • The creation of the cosmos.
    • The age of the earth, basic geology.
    • Darwin’s discovery of how we came to be.
      .
  • Swallowing, without question, the ridiculous assertions (e.g. sun stood still for 24 hours to let Joshua kill more people) that are in the Bible.
    .
  • Trying to impose religious ideology on us through changing federal law
    • Trying to pass a constitutional amendment that outlaws abortion (e.g. Paul Ryan, VP candidate on Romney ticket (2012).
    • Changing the definition of “life”.
    • Banning Gay Marriage
    • Preventing research in promising medical advancement; e.g. stem cells, cloning
    • Defunding agencies that do real and permanent good (e.g. Planned Parenthood) because of perceived violations of religious dogma.
  • Trying to impose religious ideology on us through changing state laws
  • Attributing  anecdotal,  chance events to answered prayer while ignoring all horrible things prayer could have prevented.
    .

The Tyranny of Religion

  • Causes people to commit hideous atrocities in “defense” of their faith. No need for examples. You know what I mean here.1
    .
  • Ignorance brought on by fear that knowledge of basic scientific facts will undermine your faith.
    .
  • The fear that you spend eternity in torture if you don’t believe.
    .

The mindless adherence to meaningless religious dogma – example… Xians terminate bingo game
.
The need to support ridiculous positions in order to maintain the “integrity” of your belief system.
.

  • Living with ridiculous “laws” that you cannot support.
    .
  • Having to do things you don’t want to do, but have to because of your “faith”.
    .
  • The perception that  God is punishing you for some reason you can’t figure out.
    .
  • Struggle because of conflicting ideas with your religious tradition or your family.
    .
  • Perceived religious transgressions which can cause emotional and psychological anguish.
    .
  • Seeing the world in only two categories – believers and non-believers,
    .
  • Stunted intellectual growth or learning, because anything that doesn’t fit within the belief system is rejected as unwholesome or evil.
    .
  • “Living for Christ”
    .
  • Hiding one’s homosexual orientation while in a Christian or Muslim relationship.
    .
  • Having to denounce homosexual human beings.
    .
  • Being fearful of being seen to be doing something that is “wrong”; according to the bible.
    .
  • The terror of believing that you may have to kill your own son (al la Abraham) in order to please God.
    .
  • Having to kill those who don’t believe as you do. For example, the Shiites and the Sunnis killing each other over who is the rightful descendent of the prophet esince the seventh century.
    .
  • it closes one’s mind drastically, making one see the world in black and white, ignoring the real complexity and diversity of the world.
    .
  • It gives the believer a mentality that puts everyone in the world into two categories – believers and non-believers, or the light vs. the dark.
    .
  • It stunts any intellectual growth or learning, because anything that doesn’t fit within the belief system is rejected as unwholesome or evil. In addition, this also leads to the inability to relate to those who don’t share your belief system, thus alienating them from you.
    .
  • “Indeed, by overgeneralizing and not questioning assumptions and definitions, entire systems of thought can inadequately describe the world and fail to do justice to its complexity. Perhaps the most tragic example of oversimplified thought is Naziism, which relied on uncritical definitions of Jews and the uncritical acceptance of the idea of the Germans‟ being a chosen people.”

Educate Yourself…The Truth Will  Set You Free

  • Don’t Believe Everything You Think about religion; use your mind and intelligence to explore reality unfettered by “belief”.
  • Accept advances in medicine and medical research; e.g. stem cell research, morning-after pill,
  • Live for yourself rather than some imaginary figure.
  • Live a life unencumbered by the threat of hell or the vision of heaven.

Help us to eliminate nonsense like this…

  1. I ran across your site while researching a book I’m writing, _RefutingBogus Theistic Claims: Where Does Rationality Show Evangelists and Apologists Run Off the Rails?_ I am very impressed by the content you’ve generated. I want to use your list of contradictions as a guide to the arguments apologists use to falsely claim that there is no contradiction in any of the listed scriptures. Of course, I will happily credit your work within the text and record it in the bibliography. Is this OK with you?

  3. Donna says:

Do you believe that Jesus’ death on the cross is the only way to be reconciled back to God through His blood…..our salvation, by accepting Him as our savior? Do you believe in miracles? The power of the Holy Spirit? The return of Jesus to Earth? Literal heaven and hell?

    • The Dreamer says:

Jesus is a myth. There is insufficient evidence to support the view Jesus existed. This lack of evidence makes the probability jesus stories are myth rather than historical. EG. Jesus told his followers he would return before some of them died. This clearly didn’t happen making it more likely than less likely this is myth.

  4. FromAtheismtoChristianity says:

What’s especially ironic about the whole ‘tyranny of religion’ bit, is that the most murderous states in human history were all atheistic regimes who wailed about how evil religion is, how mankind must be freed from it, before committing a totalitarian repression that makes the worst of Christian, Muslim, and other sorts of fanaticisms utterly pale in comparison.

  5. Jennifer Reblin says:

    \= God
    X= woman
    Y= Man

Seems to me that Woman had the extra Gene’s to give….

Maybe I’m wrong, but don’t you think that God would leave hints in nature and not in books that can be changed by man?

If we think about God being a woman then it answers the age-old question which came first the chicken or the egg. Obviously the chicken because you have to have a mother in order to have a child. But God has proven time and time again that you do not need a father in order to make a child. I’m not saying that we don’t need men! Good Lord do we need men and we need good men!! But it is obvious to me that the Bible written by man has lied to us so this wouldn’t be so far-fetched of an idea to wrap your brain around…. just a thought…

The “faithful” and the “believers” are some of the most intolerant, unaccepting, hypocritical zealots. Most not having read their own scriptures. Whereas most non- theists I know, including myself, have read them all practically and still find it all wanting and impossible to get in Lock-step with the blinded, indoctrinated and brainwashed. gods were created to explain natural phenomena. And this happened way before the supposed appearance of Jesus. And when do people turn to their invisible god? When they are in pain. Well, if your god loves you so much why does he allow so much pain? That’s his will? Pain and suffering? Playing dice with existence? What a judgmental, hateful, vengeful god you have. We give ourselves enough pain and suffering as it is without another non-entity giving us more. You have given up all responsibility to a non-entity who you pray to for money, health, jobs, love, sex, drugs, stuff, and if you don’t get it, it’s god will?? Why do you have to relinquish any control or input on your own life? It means you have given up your life for future glory in the “kingdom of heaven” and don’t bother living for right now. Waiting to die. While the rest of us are living life to the fullest because we have no idea what is next. But I can guarantee it’s not cherubs, a bunch of virgins, someone blowing their horn, pearly gates or fire and brimstone. The Catholic Church already admitted they made all that up to get people back into the church. I get it, people desperately need something to cling to because they can’t think for themselves, reason for themselves, make their own decisions and be responsible for those decisions. They just hand it over to a non-entity and all is well. What a waste of time. Sure, the holidays are fun and you get to see family and friends. But there are a ton of non-religious holidays that you can do the same. And why not just get together to enjoy each other’s company instead of attaching some sort of religious, saintly, godly reason. There is no clear evidence except in the Bible that Jesus existed. And the Bible cannot be the explanation for the Bible. Save yourselves, by yourself, and for yourself and your loved ones.

  9. Truyer says:

Kudos to you, and all in your honorable mission!

Surprisingly, the previous posts cherry picking point may have some validity

Perhaps you may reconsider your mode of operation, realize your efforts are attempts to change the effects of a cause. Instead maybe look directly to the source of the problem which is obviously (to me at least) belief itself, not any specific one or even group, but belief as a whole. Isn’t belief the barrier you encounter in your attempts to bring about rational thought in these believers minds? You may currently think as they do that this is their strength and power, but it is only their unity and foundation. Allow me to assure you that it is their ultimate vulnerability and it rests at their very core! Focusing on exposing the truth of this will bring about a cascade effect detrimental to all belief and its tyrannous systems. Most likely you see some kinds of belief as acceptable being only that we have all been indoctrinated to, if not, good for you, if so, abandon this idea, as it is completely false.

    A through examination of what belief really is, how it works and what it does will render it unacceptable to all, except liars and morons. What you will discover is that belief is an insidious thing and includes, but is not limited to;

Belief is the sole requirement of lies and liars to succeed
No fact(s) support belief as being beneficial, other than to lies and evil
The facts do support belief as being highly beneficial to lies and evil
Belief only serves as an impasse or obstacle to the realization of truth(s)
To believe is an act of insanity and is detrimental to the cognitive processes
Belief is the only means of deception
Even if what you believe is true, you are still deceived
There is just one way that evil can manifest, and that is through belief

Its not what we believe, but simply that we do

  10. Hey, you can cherry pick quotes from the bible all you want, it won’t change anything. You are only “disproving” fundamental Christianity and nothing else.
    Do you accept that
    1) Even microscopic organisms are far too complex to randomly appear by chance
    2) Probability of all amino acids combining is 10^130
    3) Many “fossil records” have been dis-proven
The reason why god had to be eliminated is cause of religious morality, you cherry picking quotes from holy books out of context wont change that
Smug atheists love pretending that they are logical, when they are 400% irrational
God, your followers make me sick

    • Nomad says:

I don’t view this as an attack on God. I see it as us approaching an understanding of God’s universe and the dispelling of false prophets that can emerge from organized religion. There’s an awful lot of power to be gained when you preach to people and it’s easy to abuse said power when you’re a fallible human being.

Regarding the potential evolution of life, Stanley Miller and Harold Urey demonstrated that applying energy to a mixture of inorganic materials can result in organic molecules and even amino acid chains as demonstrated by Sydney Fox when they replicated said experiment.
Not every creature ever born had the opportunity to be preserved from the awesomely destructive forces of nature. I’m not surprised that there isn’t a continuous spectrum of fossils to trace back to the beginning.

God’s spirit may have guided those that wrote the bible, but those discontinuities and contradictions do exist as we read them today. You cannot deny that. The bible is meant to portray the importance of God in a way that humans can easily process. The angels’ forms are described by Ezekiel as lovecraftian horrors that had to specifically hide their true form and tell humans to “not be afraid” because they meant well. Because the bible deals with concepts of live outside of this universe, metaphor and simplifications have to exist. Our physical form literally cannot process such information.

I urge you to provide proof for your claims and understand that the wonder of God can absolutely exist simultaneously with science as science is simply the process of discovering the universe that very well could have been created by God. The fundamental nature of God is entirely unknowable, as the majority of God exists outside of the universe which he created and we can’t even fully understand the universe let alone what lies beyond it.
Being so restrictive and simplistic is, in my opinion, an insult to the capabilities of God. I think it’s wonderful that God could create something potentially infinitely vast that follows very specific rules that we can begin to understand. It speaks to an intelligence and eternal patience that only begins to convey the power of God.

It’s fruitless for any of us to claim to know the mind of God or know who should see his wrath. God instructs us to unconditionally love God rather than any Corporeal thing because the truth of existence extends beyond the corporeal and everything we know is just a transient journey meant to educate and develop our spirits.

For the record, I’m severely agnostic and it’s taken me many years of pondering and understanding to see the beauty of God. I can’t say for sure that God exists, but if he does, I believe that the journey to him is an extremely personal one. External influences can help, but God is not a man in the clouds and God does not care about beliefs concerning this silly plane of existence. God wants us to accept that humility, peacefulness, and love are the true path to enlightenment even in the face of a hostile, competitive, and covetous world. I think that’s the most respectable wish that a diety could have and would be honored to embody that spirit. I try to remember that when the world upsets me or I see an opportunity to benefit at the expense of others.

Your passion for God inspires me. You question “athiestic” talking points to defend what you see as the truth. Proper science only seeks the truth. If the truth is God, then we’ll find it one way or another. People work very hard to test their hypotheses and explain the world around them. They do so much preparation and thinking about such specific topics just to expand our knowledge. We shouldn’t disregard their findings so easily. It’s a pure and earnest endeavor that is not glamorous and does not pay very well. Those that work for the work itself are very close to God in my eyes as they are exercising their God-given free-will to benefit more than themselves for little more reason than that it feels right. Those properties that distinguish us from “animals” are the properties that are the result of the soul, which is the aspect of God. Every ounce of critical thinking is a blessing and a celebration of that little portion of the creator within us.

Thanks for reading by babbling. Have a wonderful journey.

  13. Cory Levin says:

I am a prophet of God. I strongly believe in the existence of the God of abraham. I’m also a free thinker. I am fully aware that religion is a system of control, in the exact context as government and big business. I know there are many contradictions in the bible and the Koran. I do not personally believe in the resurrection of christ. If the Torah prophecizes the new testament. One only need believe jesus died for there sins, which is conducive to both religious books and historical fact, and obey the law of God. Most of God’s law is for our benefit. Look at the laws versus the scientific facts of what they do to us. (i.e. eating pork, wearing polyester, and sexual sins). Man is sinful, there books are full of errors however useful they may be to us. It does not negate the existence of an almighty God.

I tried to believe, but my brain kept getting in the way. [Sidenote – I love people that are Christians that why I was attracted in the first place.]

However, as I started to read the Bible many questions kept popping up in my head below are a few:

If this personal God loves all mankind then why did He(it) just give this message to some obscure people in the desert?
If God is so powerful why could not his message be given to all at once?
If God is so powerful why did he have only one son?
Could a flood have killed all of humanity and then recovered by a few survivors, Noah being one of them?
If King David was such a great king then why on this green earth is there hardly any evidence of his kingdom? We certainly know the pharaohs existed.
Why are the jews white when it is very apparent that the original jews we not even close to white.
King David and Solomon had many wives/concubines shouldn’t the church support this?
After all David and Solomon were loved by God – Solomon not so much at the end of his life.

These questions were not given adequate answers by believers/leaders.

Do further research and I realized the fraudsters involved with the dead sea scrolls and lack of real academic rigour related to other biblical issues. New Bible versions are created to make money. Many cases the different versions of the Bible totally contradict the other – KJV vs. NIV.

The more I witness, in my case Christianity, the more I witness their real god is MAMMON!

There are many good things the Bible teaches that are good for our lives.

It is best to lead a moral life with forgiveness and love, but don’t fall for these lies.

BTW – I have studied other religions as well and have realized they don’t make any sense either.

    • wakeup, you are still sleeping in this world. without seeing the other side of this world, you are lost without ending. one advice can be given to speed your awakening is to humble yourself and ask who are you and why you are here. if you choose to ignore, let it be. otherwise, read what Christ Yehoshua said and think hard. if you have a four inch thick skin, you barely can feel anything.

  19. gilled says:

The Christ (the man named Jesus) is God, and you’ll never be able to eliminate that. The only way to is by force, and that, along with martyrdom has proven it that much more true. There is no religion, there is no party politic, there is no “Christianity”, “Catholicism”, or “Buddhism”. No. There is only Christ and what he stood for. God in the flesh, to die at hands of His very own creation. And instead took our place against the wrath of the Father. Find me a better theological alternative, find me a better “story”.

Isaiah 57:16 “For I will not fight against you forever; I will not always be angry. If I were, all people would pass away–all the souls I have made.”

Psalm 103:9 “He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;”

But, you have all you “opinions”, you’ve offered no proof, no plausible alternative to theological framework, no science, nothing. “Church of Truth”, there are 2 contradictions in that statement friend. You are a “church” yet offer no theosophy, you represent “truth”, yet even Pontius Pilate asked the Christ “What is Truth?”. (To which Jesus replied, “I am the Truth the way to Life.”

So, Pilate asks you: “What is Truth?”

    • M says:

If you believe that story you possess subhuman intelligence. Point blank. The fact that you would proudly boast of such stupidity is truly hilarious

    • geloofseun says:

Here is a much better “theological alternative … A better ‘story'”:

1 Religious tradition is the imperfectly preserved record of the experiences of the God-knowing men of past ages, but such records are untrustworthy as guides for religious living or as the source of true information about the Universal Father. Such ancient beliefs have been invariably altered by the fact that primitive man was a mythmaker.

2 One of the greatest sources of confusion on Urantia concerning the nature of God grows out of the failure of your sacred books clearly to distinguish between the personalities of the Paradise Trinity and between Paradise Deity and the local universe creators and administrators. During the past dispensations of partial understanding, your priests and prophets failed clearly to differentiate between Planetary Princes, System Sovereigns, Constellation Fathers, Creator Sons, Superuniverse Rulers, the Supreme Being, and the Universal Father. Many of the messages of subordinate personalities, such as Life Carriers and various orders of angels, have been, in your records, presented as coming from God himself. Urantian religious thought still confuses the associate personalities of Deity with the Universal Father himself, so that all are included under one appellation.

3 The people of Urantia continue to suffer from the influence of primitive concepts of God. The gods who go on a rampage in the storm; who shake the earth in their wrath and strike down men in their anger; who inflict their judgments of displeasure in times of famine and flood—these are the gods of primitive religion; they are not the Gods who live and rule the universes. Such concepts are a relic of the times when men supposed that the universe was under the guidance and domination of the whims of such imaginary gods. But mortal man is beginning to realize that he lives in a realm of comparative law and order as far as concerns the administrative policies and conduct of the Supreme Creators and the Supreme Controllers.

4 The barbarous idea of appeasing an angry God, of propitiating an offended Lord, of winning the favor of Deity through sacrifices and penance and even by the shedding of blood, represents a religion wholly puerile and primitive, a philosophy unworthy of an enlightened age of science and truth. Such beliefs are utterly repulsive to the celestial beings and the divine rulers who serve and reign in the universes. It is an affront to God to believe, hold, or teach that innocent blood must be shed in order to win his favor or to divert the fictitious divine wrath.

5 The Hebrews believed that “without the shedding of blood there could be no remission of sin.” They had not found deliverance from the old and pagan idea that the Gods could not be appeased except by the sight of blood, though Moses did make a distinct advance when he forbade human sacrifices and substituted therefor, in the primitive minds of his childlike Bedouin followers, the ceremonial sacrifice of animals.

6 The bestowal of a Paradise Son on your world was inherent in the situation of closing a planetary age; it was inescapable, and it was not made necessary for the purpose of winning the favor of God. This bestowal also happened to be the final personal act of a Creator Son in the long adventure of earning the experiential sovereignty of his universe. What a travesty upon the infinite character of God! this teaching that his fatherly heart in all itsaustere coldness and hardness was so untouched by the misfortunes and sorrows of his creatures that his tender mercies were not forthcoming until he saw his blameless Son bleeding and dying upon the cross of Calvary!

7 But the inhabitants of Urantia are to find deliverance from these ancient errors and pagan superstitions respecting the nature of the Universal Father. The revelation of the truth about God is appearing, and the human race is destined to know the Universal Father in all that beauty of character and loveliness of attributes so magnificently portrayed by the Creator Son who sojourned on Urantia as the Son of Man and the Son of God.

  22. I was triggered to do an extensive research on the activities and ideology of New Age Religions like Scientology – Children of God – Krishna – and Moon, when the first sensational newspaper reports on mind control by these cults were published in Amsterdam around March of 1975.
I inspired many ediitors since then to dig into the dirt of these movements and I was lured at one time to the Home Church of the moonies, taken into custody by the leadership of their Ginseng Sales Team, and ordered to show my documents and lectures that were stockpiled in my own house.
Their mission failed after I drove my car into the parking lot of the police station !
In 1978, US Congress organised hearings on the Korean Bribery Scandal in Wash.DC and issued the proceedings with a memorandum that contained a CIA memo on the Moon Church in Korea, saying that Reverend Moon was used by the government as a political tool to battle with communism since the early 1960’s and that his church was paying farmers to join.
When Sun Moon was called by Congress to testify under oath, he crossed the ocean to visit his HQ in Lancaster Gate, London instead and delivered a speach in his native language, bragging about the tanks his korean business was manufacturing making millions of dollars.
In the 1960’s, his members were selling airguns to the shops in Japan, in the 1990’s his son was the proud inventor of the Kaehr Pistol in New Jersey. His weapon industry is called Tongil, which stands for Unification, the ideology of the Unified Family of moonies.
North Korea, their archenemy promotes their own sordid version of Unification and Juche ideology.
After communism was defeated in the Soviet Union in 1990, a meeting was scheduled in Moscow that united the Gorbachev family with the Moons, opening trade between the two countries and introducing Divine Moon Principles to the school system in Russia. What a splendid victory that was
Two years later, a meeting was organised in Pyongyang between Moon and President Kim IL Sung, followed by huge investments in the car and tourist industry. That is why the US Senate crowned Mister Moon as the Peace King in 2004 by the way. Normally, the South Korean government does not allow its citizens and ambassadors to make friends with the communist regime, but apparently these strict regulations do not apply to the Korean Messiah !
His movement was supported financially by the House of Saud, by two powerful Japanese gangsters of the Yakuza Mafia, by the Korean CIA, and I believe also by the Rockefeller Foundation of Tarrytown, N.Y. the same area where the Moon Family resides on the East Garden Estate of Irvington. This compound was purchased in 1970 from the Bronfman Family, and formerly owned by John D. Rockefeller.
The jewish bankers of Wall Street financed the German army during the second world war, and the Chase Manhattan Bank now owned by Rockefeller is taking care of Moon’s money.
Prescott Bush, the father of Herbert Walker Bush supported the Nazi leadership in the 1940’s, while his sons developed close relations with Reverend Moon, promoting his newspapers in Argentine and calling Moon a man with a clear vision on world politics. Jeb Bush was photographed with Antonio Betancourt, a moon leader from Columbia during a business trip in Paraguay, purchasing land in that country close to the Pantanal region in Brazil, where the Moons have their New Hope East Garden Project and develop the land with agriculture.
The New World Order of the Rockefeller and Rothschild bankers has much in common with Moon’s One World Crusade, he launched in the 1970’s. One World Government and One World Religion.
Moon was fading out democracy, because that is what Satan likes most and has to be crushed like socialist reform and communist rule.
Finallly it is important to learn and understand why so many Christian Coalitions and TV preachers supported this False Prophet and Conman, whose teachings made a mockery of Jezus Christ and the Holy Scriptures, while promoting Korea in stead of Israel as God’s chosen country.
Today, the Universal Peace Federation invites clergymen from every faith to unify with the Messiah, who is now giving directives from the Spirit World.

  25. Who is on this planet earth that one individual can speak with regarding truth unknown to the 7.3 plus billion earthly inhabitants.

When these following words were written. . .

“And the huge dragon was cast down and out—that age-old serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, he who is the seducer (deceiver) of all humanity the world over; he was forced out and down to the earth, and his angels were flung out along with him. Revelation 12:9

Their meaning is so strong and so true that none, no, not one worldly human being believes what they speak, so how is it possible for any on this earth being within a completely deceived, divided, and misled human race to know the difference between truth and deception?

Out of the 31,102 verses in the KJV Holy Bible, having many flaws just as all versions, if you don’t believe the scripture you just read above in Revelation 12:9, how is it possible for you to believe all the spiritual truth we are to follow and live by verses all the human error worldwide?

    Which Bible Version Is Best?

    http://www.christianbi blereference.org/faq_kjv.htm

What happens within the mind of any genuine believer when they read these following words that only strengthen the verse in Revelation 12:9 on world deception they refuse to believe?

Yahweh looks down from heaven on Adam’s descendants
to see if there is anyone who acts wisely,
if there is anyone who seeks help from Elohim.
    Everyone has turned away.
Together they have become rotten to the core.
No one, not even one person, does good things. Psalm 14:2-3 Names of God Bible (NOG)

Were you in any way aware that even the Bible above does not use Yehovah’s sacred name known and used by few? This link below offers information all believers need to more than read.

What are some other examples that show complete world deception?

The greatest and most celebrated holiday on this earth is Christmas, and many billions of people whether they are believers or not take part; and the greatest deception psychologically is the fact being that the supposed birth of Jesus Christ on December 25th is completely wrong just as His name most all believers use rather than Yeshua Elohim.

    https://dochub.com/timesoftrouble/P6DJyj/the-shocking-pagan-origin-of-chr istmas

Were you also aware of just one verse that aims itself at all worldly inhabitants?

“Before every person lies a road that seems to be right, but at the end of that road death and destruction wait. Proverbs 16:25

Through these past nine years, my existence has been are many hardships being a life of poverty, having a loving wife with many health difficulties, no home to call our own, and not one fellow believer in truth that walks Yehovah’s commanded walk with love, compassion or empathy for others in need; and that alone shows this world of Christian frauds, religious hypocrites, and people so selfish, so greedy, and so judgmental of all others not being good as they see themselves — its no wonder there are atheists, because who wants to become a Christian liar that does not as their God instructs?

Yet because I have gained clear understanding of humanities coming destiny with reason why, even though none listen to their own direct warning, all are still loved because they know not what they do.

“I am sending you to them who are stubborn and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says Yehovah’ As for them, whether they listen or refuse [to listen]—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will know and be fully aware of the fact that there has been a prophet among them. Ezekiel 2:4-5

This link below shares much truth never taught in the religions of man worldwide; but sadly, this world of people and believers despise any unsmooth and non uplifting truth on their own coming destiny, and the only road that will bring them Yehovah God’s mercy and protection.

The greatest truth I have found in the Holy Bible, through faith, is just how totally misled our entire human race truly is, and just how much all humans hate any truth not programmed into their mind by the father of lies being the god of this world that all believe in ways they know not; and that is because Satan holds a psychological control over all minds on earth dwellers, less those few called out of this world in John 15:19 — and those few are hated, not heard, not believed, and very much despised by all believers and non believers.

Are you making any money preaching your religion?
You clearly love reading the Holy Bible and spend an enormous amount of time reviewing it. More so than many seminary schools require for advanced degrees. Plus all the effort you put in talking and writing about it, even to the extent of putting up and maintaining a website. You are very devoted to the Christian Bible. If you have any friends; you must really bore them with your constant rantings about faith, belief, and religion.

I am considering putting up a website to do some preaching also and am curious if online preaching has been financially profitable for you?

And how do you make money from the site (ads, donations or something like that)?

I am not a sick zealot or any kind of psycho like that so I wouldn’t be able to do it for free, it would have to pay for itself

    Thanks!

  28. Hi! Than you for this site…

I found it because I was searching for some details regarding the complete lack of historical (written) records nor archealogical evidence for the exodus or the mass 400 year interment of Jews in Egypt.

Given the enormous wealth of the written records of ancient Eqypt it seems in unfathomable that such enormous factors in the history would go without a word on a papyrus or tablet or wall or anything—that there would be no archaeology either of an enormous population of Jews (enslaved or not) or of the exodus itself—even if it’s size was 10% of the story and it last 20% the time!

I have come to question whether or not Judaism itself goes back anywhere near to the time of the mythological exodus. Even if it did it couldn’t since the tenets of Judaism are conjured up in the stories themselves. Hence, how could Jews be enslaved before there were any Jews??

Also, why is there no history of Egypt itself? Who was the Pharao or son of Pharao? The actually history is extensive in writing, art and archaeology. But neither bible nor Torah name these mythic Pharaos.

It is rather silly that 1000s of mythological years later people cling to the lies to justify current politics. Who gives a damn. Israel is a modern nation that has successfully conquered a land. Yes, there was a Jewish kingdom there 2000 or do years ago. Good or bad it doesn’t matter. Those people probably shared very little in coon with today’s Israelis. Let’s live today without fairly tales to justify arguments in any direction!

I hope you have read and watched Tichard Dawkins—in particular “The God Delusion”. Well thought out and presented even if he is a bit arrogant!

A closing contemplative prayer for you,

I am praying to the great Ju Ju of the Mountain for your blissfull journey to the paradise planet of Xenon 7 and the blessed hoard of vigin whores who await your arrival to begin the orgy and the 60 year feast of the fall harvest that shall bring forth fruitful crop output to you children and your children’s children if you are accepted into the eternal garden of holiness. For this I pray and offer my humble and unworthy sinful self to the the all powerful gods that have molded us and created all that we see and do not see and have blessed us with food and wine and women to serve us and bear our sons who shine in the same holy image. May we remember our pitiful worthless selves as servants of the one true god among all true gods and beg for the bounty of future harvests and show our fidelity by sacrificing 7 pigs, 7 oysters, 7 cheesecakes and 7 gallons of our finest wine. May gods keep you a hold you her holy protection, amen.

I support the freedom from religion amendment to the US Constitution. Honk of you love an atheist!

  29. TXSCHOLAR says:

I wouldn’t say that I believe in religion as I largely think it’s the manifestation of man rather than a deity; however, if one critically analyzes the matter, does failures of religion prove there is no God of some sort? In other words, is it 100% correct to say that if there is a God, it has to abide by the rules of a man made text? Perhaps the definition of God itself becomes skewed in doing so. I understand it is a little unconventional to think of God as some manifestation between the spiritual and scientific world because the two are often seen as adverse ideologies, but there are intriguing trigger points for both. On one end, the classical notion of an old, bearded figure watching over us from mortally unreachable heights (or parallel) raises an eyebrow. On the other hand, my experience in science and with scientists calls for us to question what we believe (or don’t believe) to be true by verification via a scientific “paper trail” if you will. In doing so, we understand that all things logically have a beginning point and an event that triggers that beginning point. Unfortunately we encounter a problem because all this science afforded to us reaches a point for nothing existed. Yet, from nothing…everything just happened. And that raises an eyebrow as well. Perhaps some force or energy (which interestingly is forever) becomes divine in a sense and stitches together belief and non-belief in both of their apparent blind spots.

    • TXSCHOLAR says:

*a point WHERE nothing existed (aplogies)

    • No… We could be wrong. That a god or creation being/entity/force does not exist is NOT proven fact. There could be some such thing.

However, that said, there is ZERO evidence of any kind supporting such a thing as god or the various myths found in the World’s religions—at least those know something about. Anyone of them is as good, true or fictional as any other—be the pagan or Judeo Christian or Eastern or African, Polynesian, Aboriginal, meso American or whatever. Non had any more legitimacy than any other. They are all equally void of evidence.

The PREPONDERANCE of evidence and critical thinking and scientific knowledge supports a universe with no god. Moreover, it is clear that a the descriptions of god ideas are man made in the form of myths and traditions. These are cultural things quote removed from any concept of actual diety. The evidence for the fallacy of the monotheistic Judeo Cristian religions current the highest rated is substantial enough for the FDA to halt research and declare them dangerous to health…

Nonetheless, if we step outside the trappings and biases of historical religions we do come to the void—no evidence for but less clear if there is evidence against. Since outside of the fables of historical religion we have no concept of what god is there is no basis for disproving. However, in Science the Absense of supporting evidence is just that. The more investigation there is without evidence the stronger is the probability that something (god) is not true,

Conclusion… A substantial amount of investigation that shows no supporting evidence makes a strong case for non existence. The case is strong but could be wrong!

  31. The Prophet, Mormon says:

You seem pretty hasty to assume that every single point you posted concerning the “tyrrany of religion” is entirely accurate. This is a little lengthy, but you took the time to post all of your points under “tyranny of religion”, and I will respond to every point. I’m a Mormon (and to those of you reading this, yes, I am a Christian, Mormons are Christians), and I have never committed an atrocious act, whether in defense of my faith or otherwise. Ignorance because of refusal to accept scientific facts? Obviously you are ignorant of the fact that there have been hunderds, literally thousands of religious scientists over the centuries – Nemesius, a pioneer of the brain functions and circulatory system was a bishop of Emesa – Galileo Galilei, a very well known scientist, was a staunch theologian who strongly opposed the Reformation of the Church – Enoch Fitch Burr, a very well known member of the astronomy community, who happened to be a Congregationalist Church pastor and reverand – Doctor James E. Talmage was a well known chemist and geologist, a contemporary of Albert Einstein, and a leading member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)… The list goes on and on and on. The “fear” that you spend eternity in torture if you do not believe, is not an actual fear if you actually believe. Believing in God out of fear and not love is not believing at all. Mindlessly obeying laws and religious dogma – again, to the truly faithful, it is not mindless, and it is not dogma, it is the laws we willingly and happily follow because it is part of our faith, which we willingly follow. Because it is part of our ***faith. Really, what is so hard for you to understand about that? Supporting ridiculous positions, I support our prophet, Thomas S. Monson, because I believe he is truly a prophet of God, and I don’t believe that is ridiculous at all. Maybe you do, but according to this list, we aren’t talking about you, so sorry. The only laws I live are the ones I believe will bring me closer to my Father in Heaven and to Jesus Christ, and I fully support them (there you go making assumptions, you know what they say about those who go assuming everything, don’t you?) My faith doesn’t make me do anything I don’t want to do. The church won’t excommunicate me, and my friends won’t disfellowship me if I don’t do something in the church that I don’t want to do. God isn’t punishing me my friend, he is giving me blessings, like the blessing of my beautiful fiance, who I will be marrying this October. Also, if you knew the scriptures, you would know God doesn’t punish us for funsies, and the Book of Mormon says he never gives us something we can’t handle, “And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.” – 1 Nephi 3:7, The Book of Mormon. Conflictions with religious traditions of my family? You might think so, I am the only Mormon in my family, everyone else is mainstream Christian (my mother is Baptist, and my father is Roman Catholic – I was raised in Catholicism), but actually, my family came to embrace my religious conversion, and they love reading the Book of Mormon with me to learn more, we have the Mormon missionaries over for dinners and parties, etc. If anything, the varying religious traditions have brought us closer together in terms of spritiual love and understanding. I have no perceived religious transgressions, God knows my transgressions and my sins, as well as yours, but thankfully, in His eternal love and mercy, He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the Holy One of Israel, who willingly died for us because of his own eternal love for us, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish; but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” – John 3:16-17. Seeing the world in only in believers and non-believers? That’s not what being a Christian is all about, sorry (there you go assuming again, how little you know about Christianity, my friend). The Christian mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole earth, and the best way to do so is with love, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” – 1 John 4:7-8. If we were to see the world in two categories, why would the Apostle John preach to love the whole earth? In the Book of Mormon, the prophet Moroni (pronounced with a long “I”, not like Moronee, but more like ‘Moroneye’, so many people get that wrong) reminds us that if we have hope and faith, then we shall stand at the right hand of God, but remember that true faith and hope comes from love, because love is of God, “And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.” – Ether 12:6, The Book of Mormon. Again, stunting your intelligence because of your faith does not go hand in hand. There are numerous scientists and well known individuals in history (like some of the above) who allowed their theology to guide their lives, and yet they still made remarkable, miraculous contributions to society. That is because God has given us the means whereby to understand all things, it is up to us to make those discoveries. For a faithful individual who loves Jesus Christ and the gospel of Jesus Christ, “living for Christ” is a wonderful thing that binds people together in worship, love, friendship and fellowship. Maybe to you “living for Christ” is a tyranny. It is a shame that some people must hide their homosexual identity in order to avoid persecution, those who persecute homosexuals are not true believers though, because they do not follow the word of God, that is, to love one another no matter what, to love those that would do harm to you, or to love those who think or behave differently than you. The people who ignore this most fundamental commandment, to express love, are not true Christians, but rather they are more of a dilluted form of Christian. Doing something wrong according to the Bible means that we have committed a sin. We should not feel bad for this, because Jesus Christ was the only perfect, sinless being to live on earth. The rest of us are sinful, and the Bible and Book of Mormon even tell us that sin is unavoidable, but that is okay, because through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane where he sweat blood, we have a remission of our sins, and are forgiven, “And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly; and he sweat as at were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.” Luke 22:44, “Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink – Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparations unto the children of men.” – Doctrine and Covenants of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 19:18-19. I have no fear that I will have to kill any of my future children in order to please God, because the scriptures teach us that God is pleased by our faith, and it is by acknowledgement of His grace, and through our good works, that we show our faith to God, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” – James 2:17 ,”For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.” – 2 Nephi 25:23. Also, you might remember that Abraham did not actually have to kill Isaac, and Isaac forgave his father, who was after called “the Friend of God.” – James 2:23. It’s true that the Muslim faith and the Muslim religious texts teach murder of unbelievers and infidels as commandments Allah gave to the prophet Muhammad, but you notice that not all Muslims are extremeists who want to cleanse the world, right? Furthermore, no such teaching exists in the gospel of Jesus Christ as restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith Junior in 1830, it keeps with the ancient commandments to bring souls unto Christ through love and preaching the word of God unto the children of men, unto the ends of the earth, “Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing, that I might bring souls unto repentance; that I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste; that they might also be born of God, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Yea, and now behold, O my son, the Lord doth give me exceedingly great joy in the fruit of my labors;” – Alma 36:24-25, The Book of Mormon. The gospel does not close the mind, if you do not allow it to. Some people allow the entirety of their lives to be governed solely by the words of the Bible. These are fundamentalist Christians, and they avoid sin in an unhealthy way. Whether Christians like to admit or not, sin is a healthy and necessary part of our spiritual journey, because being sinful allows us to exercise our faith in Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice, that we may learn to be more like him in our paths to exaltation in the highest degree of glory within the Celestial Kingdom. Also, it depends on how dogmatic you are, most Christians believe in only one God eternally, whereas Mormons recognize a vast plurality of billions of gods (supported by the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price) and goddesses inhabiting other galaxies, as well as other human beings living on other planets that cannot be counted because they are so numerous, and we belive that we may become Gods and Goddesses as well because of the promise made in the Bible that we can become joint-heirs with Christ, and also because of the revelations from God through the Prophet Joseph Smith promising us that we will become exalted gods in eternity. That doesn’t sound very close minded to me, becoming a God sounds like a realm of infinite possibilities, as well as desiring to know the identities of those other gods out there, while still only giving praise and worship to God the Father of Jesus Christ because of the commandments (I believe that places Mormons at henotheistic, if my terminology is correct). The believers vs. non believers (light vs. dark) is essentially the same point you already made, and I made my point against it. Already addressed the part about stunting intellect. Some people may allow their religious beliefs to ostracize themselves from people of other religions or faith traditions, and those people are close minded. But that isn’t me, I love learning about other religions, and I have many, many friends who are of different religions, and friends who are agnostics and atheists. So we don’t agree religiously on everything, what kind of person would I be if I allowed that to govern who I am friends with? I can guarantee you that I have more friends who think that Mormonism is a cult, and that I am part of a cult, because we deviate from traditional Christianity. I have more friends who think that about me than I have Mormon friends. But so what? They still respect me, and we have healthy religious debates. Nothing wrong with that, and no one is being ostracized or alienated. I don’t overgeneralize, I do not judge or hate people based on their beliefs, and I am not a Nazi. I am German in blood, but very much a patriotic American in political belief. I realize that not all Christians or Muslims or Jews or anyone who follows a structured religious identity like I do, think like I do. But many, many people do, and you seem to think that anyone who is part of a religion is being oppressed or is being forced to deal with tyranny. Well, at least for my own personal life, I refuted you on every point. There is indeed religious oppression and tyranny out there, I completely agree with you! But not in my life. Religion is an important part of my life to both me and my fiance. I love my fiance, I love my friends and family, I love my religion and my faith, I love God, and I love myself. As Mormons, we do face persecution, the Mormon people have faced ostracism, persecution, and even murder since our founding days when the Prophet Joseph Smith organized us 185 years ago. But we still “lay hold to the gospel of Jesus Christ”, as the Book of Mormon puts it, because of our love of the Lord and our faith in his love for us. No religion is perfect, based on personal views, but not all religions are evil or tyrannical. Mine surely isn’t.

    • Thank you for your lengthy reply.

You are wrong about most everything you say.

I appreciate many of the Mormon tenets about how to live a good life but Mormons are even more in a fantasy world than Christians because you not only believe in everything the Christians do but you have to believe a lot more nonsense; eg
Joseph Smith had his “seer” glasses, the golden plates, something about space aliens, etc. At one time you would have supported polygamy and discrimination against blacks because it was part of Mormon tenets which you accept without question.

“No religion is perfect”. Shouldn’t the one that has a book that claims to be the word of God be perfect? Shouldn’t all religions be perfect? After all, they are designed by their God(s).

I wanted to read your post… You are correct that the site’s author seems to be quite lengthy in his arguments/statements. I wish you broke your post into paragraphs! I cannot read 10 pages without a break of delineation of ideas!

    • Michael Mann says:

You said, “through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ”

What atonement? If Jesus was our substitute for sin, then why isn’t he burning in hell for all eternity like the Bible tells us we will be if we don’t get “saved”? And how can Jesus have been sacrificed when sacrifice (like the animals offered during Old Testament times) is the permanent loss of something? Didn’t Jesus come back good as new after three days (actually, it was after one day and two nights, and not like your Jesus said: after “three days and three nights” like Jonah)?

You said, “Believing in God out of fear and not love is not believing at all.”

According to Christians, when people die they are going to end up either in heaven or in hell (two places that aren’t even mentioned in the Old Testament). Hell is described as unending torture and torment, (essentially the equivalent of what your Jesus described it as). The horror of hell is much worse than anything any man or combination of men has ever done to their fellow man, yet you don’t think that anyone who says the “sinner’s prayer” to escape the horrors of hell could possibly be a true believer because his prayer was not out of love.
Imagine a man proposing to a woman that he wants to love him as much as he does her and gives her the same two choices. Hi might say something like “If you marry me, I will make you the happiest woman in the world and you will never want for anything again. But I must tell you that if you don’t accept my proposal, I will abduct you, take you into my basement, and torture you for as long as I can and your death will be a slow and painful one.”

To escape this horrible punishment she is no doubt going to accept his proposal, and it certainly won’t be for any love for him after she learned how potentially vicious and merciless he is. But this punishment doesn’t even come close to what your god has in mind for those who don’t accept his proposal. What does that make your god?

      • MelC says:

Good analogy, Michael. I’ve always like the example of the Mafia Boss walking into a business and saying to the owner “nice place you have here. It’d be a shame if something happened to it. I’ll tell you what, pay me $500 a week and I’ll make sure you’re safe.” The god of the Bible is an immoral monster, just like the Mafia Boss, who will be back to break the legs of those who don’t submit. The good news is, only the Mafia Boss is real.

    • Mithra is a red herring in regards to comparisons with Christianity. While there are similarities with the stories, there is no direct correlation. The myths of Dionysus, Perseus, Buddha, Attis, Krishna, Horus, Mercury, Romulus, and Jesus all include virgin births. Many predate Jesus. Also myths such as Osiris, Romulus, and Krishna are resurrecting and/or redeemer Gods like the Christian one.

Why is it that when someone disagrees with the ideas of “christians” they become anything BUT christian. How dare you accuse this person of being evil. How dare you! Leave the site or write uplifting “christian” words but this shows that what Truthsayer is saying is true. You are not a christian as we understand, you are just a nasty person.

The thing that raises a red flag for me is that the “gospels” were all written at least 30 years after Jesus died. That being the case, we are having to rely on eyewitness testimony from authors recounting what they saw and heard decades previous. The American Psychological Association has written in “friend-of-the court briefs that: “APA’s brief explains that juries don’t understand the many factors that can influence a witness’s ability to accurately identify a suspect, including how much stress a witness is under, whether a weapon is present, the amount of time a witness had to look at the person, the lighting present at the time, how long it’s been since someone first witnessed the crime or suggestions of guilt by police.”
Further, based on nearly 30 years in the Labor movement and presenting numerous cases before an Arbiter, as the Advocate for the aggrieved employee, I found it particularly enjoyable to cross examine a management witness who testified in whole or in part using their “eyewitness” recollection of the events. It was just too easy to impeach their credibility, I often wondered whether managements Counsel even bothered to adequately prepare for the case. To me, if part of your case relies on eyewitness testimony, get ready for a bumpy ride – all the more so if you have the burden of proof.
The same holds true for the Old Testament. Six days to create the earth and resting on the seventh? Who were the mental giants who created the calendar? Adam and Eve? Anyone else would fall under the eyewitness or hearsay doctrines. And how about Jonah in the belly of a whale for three days? Sure, I see that at Sea World all the time.
For all of the above, I’m sure I planted a few negative karmic seeds, but I felt compelled to say it.

    • Well said Victor.

It’s just too easy isn’t it.

Loved this “if part of your case relies on eyewitness testimony, get ready for a bumpy ride – all the more so if you have the burden of proof.”

This too: “Adam and Eve? Anyone else would fall under the eyewitness or hearsay doctrines.”

John, the gospel that christians love to quote, wrote AT LEAST 70 years after the death of Jesus. Of course no real biblical scholar believes that the Book of John was even written by the apostle John. Had it been John the apostle, he would have been over 90 years old and most likely senile. 90 in his day would be 150 in our day (more or less – a little hyperbole but what the heck, the Wholly Holey Babble is full of lies and hyperbole) so it’s OK.

Evolution neither, no eyewitness nor lab result.

There is more to it than the number of years after the death of Jesu-Maria that the gospels were written, there is the fact that even the church of rome admits they hired “correctors” [this is what they were called] to change the bits of the bible that did not support worshipping their sun-god – I know, let’s place a halo around Jesu and change the holy day from saturday to sunday- they deleted parts, they added what they wanted, nothing to do with the teachings of Jesu. In fact ALL christianity of today has little to do with Jesu-Maria, it is the New Testament of ƨaul [aka paul] who, if my research is correct, was the first person to throw a stone at the stoning of James [brother of Jesu-M] and was on the ‘payroll’ of the romans. He contradicts, absolutely says the opposite, of Jesu-Maria on so many points. The bible is to each person according to their faith. And unfortunately, also according to the ability of each person to detect the many flaws and lies.

Dr. Bart Ehrman is one of the world’s most respected New Testament scholars who has spent over 30 years researching existing manuscripts. Many of his lectures and debates are available on YouTube. He claims no eyewitness accounts, all Gospels authors anonymous and tens of thousands of errors and contradictions. He’s an excellent resource due to his credentials.
